2000 Trans Am Stolen -Alert (Phoenix, AZ)
STOLEN - PHOENIX ARIZONA
=====================
2000 Trans Am, Navy Blue.
License: AZ - 644-GRL
Tan Leather Interior. Has Pro Dyno Exhaust, and Pro Dyno Front Window Decal. Emblems I added a reflective tape to make them light up at night, they will light up bright white.
Last seen in North Phoenix, off of Cave Creek Road.
Have been alerted that it might be in Tucson as well... but not sure.
If you see this car please alert me via email @ Scott.Swenka@gmail.com and call the local police department, and tell them you have found the car that has been reported stolen.
I have posted this on a few other F-Body sites as well.
Any help would be appreciated....
Thanks!
Scott

If car theives in Phoenix are anything like they are in Jersey, that car's already in pieces. Chances are the car has been gutted and stuck in a warehouse somewhere. After the insurance company settles up with you in about 30 days, the car will magically appear on a street somewhere and go to auction. At that point the purchaser (theives) will buy back the car from the insurance company and put all the parts back on it and sell it.

Hopefully if someone sees it and the police try to arrest them, they won't try and run. They could **** up and crash your car bad. Manager from my work had hiz bike stolen, and he waz sittin at a light when the guy who stole it pulled up next to him. He called the police and the dude ran from the cops only to drive it into a tree.
Hopefully you have better luck

Just thought I might let everyone know... never did find the car.. but after fighting with the Phx PD on getting a stolen vehicle report, going through all the court motions, and fun stuff... (4+ year of pain)... I was able to get a stolen vehicle report from the Phx PD, and was able to collect the insurance policy on the car (THANK YOU FARMERS!!!)
I got a check for $24,500.. which was the value of the car at the time it was stolen...
Did I still lose some $$$.. yes.. but I am in a whole lot better position than I was 4+ years ago.
Persiverence pays off....

Once I had the properly completed report... I was paid in 25 days from the insurance company... with no complaints, no issues from them.
Yes, I had to pay off the loan out of my own saving as a lump sum.. which really sucked at the time.

Oh did I ever.... I wrote letters to the Phx Mayor, Council, Attorney General, and Governors office, all explaining how inappropriate they were acting...
They were even ordered by the mayors office and city council to take the report, but bucked those orders also....
The funny thing is.. once I got them to do the report... it took all but 20-25 minutes to do... and bang... I was on the road to be made whole again... (sorta...)
