I actually like the LT1 tail lights, though the 98s+ have grown on me. LT1 back tail lamps look awesome at night, I also would like to leave them on so people know an LT1 did you in IT just sucks that the plastic seperated and makes them look like *** hole.

I'm kinda partial to the honeycomb myself, having had ample opportunity to see them on my friends '02 anytime we go driving.

That, and every LT1 pair I've seen has the grid stuff seperating from the taillight and it looks like absolute ***...I'm waiting for mine to do the same.

I absolutely love my LT1 bird tail lights over the honeycombs any day of the week.

Same here, and I did . Once my original tails started separating, I began the hunt for some new ones. After passing up many opportunities to pick up some honeycombs for dirt cheap, I finally found some mint condition grids, and though they were more expensive than the honeycombs, I couldn't be happier .

The same goes for the LT1 Camaro tail lights. Everyone seems to like the ambers more than the all-reds, but I personally find the ambers ugly, and you can't beat all-red's look at night .

I'm happy with my LT1 lights, eventhough theyre seperating and look like $hit..... got an extra set in the garage but they're blacked out.... so gotta sand em down and put some clear on em..... Had the black outs on for a while.... but got tired of em REAL fast....

It does suck that the plastic separates. Brand new LT1 tails look sweet as hell too. I may turn towards ls1 lights because of the separating but I agree, the LT1s look good at night and retaining the LT1 look is for the pride factor as well.

Are you guys talking about the light seperating fromo the body? Mine does the same thing on the passenger side and it pisses me off, I have to keep pushing it back in.

I really like my lights, and if I had a 98+ I would like those. Dunno I like the way the cars look stock mostly.

haha no, that means your lights are not fitted right.

they are talking about the designs in the LT1 lights that look like # or = seperates making them look old and worn out.

for your problem, i suggest looking for broken brackets or lose screws.

I did that when I changed all my light bulbs in my car. The right corner of the passenger side tail light is kind of not fitted right, but we have taken it off and on and it does the same thing. All the screws and brackets seem to be tightened pretty well

Default Honeycombs Myself

I have a 93 TA and had the same problem with the separating of the pieces. I like the I honeycombs more for the nostalgia. My first car was a 69 firebird, luckily also had a Chevy 350, and my best friend had a 70 that had the honeycomb wheels. I also like the back up lights with the projector style lens. Just my personal preference.

I just swapped to the honeycombs simply because I didnt want to fork over the money for LT1's and have them separate on me again. My left taillight separated and just looked like crap.

I think the honey combs look good- but I do like the LT1's better. Both of my tailights are looking very dilapidated...and I may go honeycoms just cuz they are alot cheaper to find in good shape.

LT1 > LS1 taillight's in my opinion. The honeycomb style just makes them look a lot bigger to me. Plus the thick black stripes look good with the maroon.

The wing nuts that hold them on are either not all on or not doing their job. i.e stripped. http://transam672.tripod.com/ That first pic of my car you can see the tail light internaly seperating. I have more pics if needed.

Default wing nuts

that very well could be true. last time i had to change a bulb on the right i left the nut off the very most outside stud so i would not have to take the spare tire out again. that is the side the separated and the other side still looks great. even though it hangs on the wall of my garage since i went to the honey combs.
