These fog lights are mainly for appearance and that's how I use them.
I always run the fogs on when the headlights are flipped, can't see for crap otherwise. Not during a sunny day though. I like to keep a low profile.

You must have replaced your foglights with something more powerful. The stock foglight bulbs are only 27W - less than your brake lights or DRLs. They really don't add anything to the available forward light except for a couple of feet in front of your bumper (which is not where you should be looking when driving). The stock foglights are there strictly for appearance (but at least you don't have to worry about blinding anyone )

I only use them when it's foggy, otherwise they are off. Really no use to drive with them on otherwise, seems like a waste to burn out a light for BS reason.....

I like the way they look at night especially but I usually have them on because I have a black car and as stated before they do stand out more.

I ride with them on for a couple of reason, 1. It's just habit!!
2. You are more noticable when you have your lights on. Day time or not, you get noticed by more people.

Turning on my fog lights is just part of my routine when I get in the car. I put on my seat belt, hit the lights, and turn off TCS, drop the E-brake and I am off....Just habit

Except for some small towns here in Oklahoma where the 5-0 will use that as an excuse to pull you over.

You might as well drive with your windshield wipers on when it's not raining, this make about much sense as driving with your fog lamps on when there isn't any fog.

One officer said it could impair another driver, "just like if you had your highbeams on." I wanted to point out to him that highbeams point up and foglights point down, but I just didn't see that getting me anywhere. The second time it happened the officer pulled me over, looked at my DL, I think saw I wasn't some young kid, and just handed it back and said "turn your foglights off" as he walked away. I always wondered if he would have had more to say if I had been younger or scruffier.

I like the way my car looks with just the fogs on so I use them in the evenings when the sun is going down.

There is no such law in Florida although I remember a law in Ontario, Canada when I lived there that prohibited foglights without headlights.

Most states have laws that follow the federal requirements for minimum light intensity and visible distance at night. That means that it is illegal to drive with just foglights after dark. The legality at other times of day may vary between states.

I drive with mine on when it's raining or foggy, I don't use them at night very often because I replaced them with some Hella driving lights that are too bright to use when there is traffic within 1/2 mile

i use it as a useful tool when i'm driving. it's a lot easier for someone to see lights quickly approaching from behind. but that's not always the case, with people being all busy on the phone, eating a bowl of cereal, reading the map, drinking soda, smoking, blah blah blah blah.

I like to drive with them on at night. I think it adds to the look of the trans am. Looks nice.

I use my foglights when its getting dark, but never just riding around during the day. The foglights definitely add to the look at night, as stated by trans_am_31.
