Where to get a trailer hitch for a 02 TA
Does anyone here know where to get a trailer hitch for an 02 TA? I want to be able to attach a bike rack to the car and thought this would be the best rout.
Thanks!
Jason

We have a bike rack on the Altima, and with the GP I can stick one bike in the back seat and another in the trunk, but with the TA the bikes don’t seem to fit well – the placement of the sub is a factor.

Check out my cherry Trans Am fully loaded with trailer hitch and ski carrier! I even got the dingle ball package hanging from the interior. Sweet.

I can fit the snowboards inside the Camaro, but it is easier to have them out back. I don't think I'd drive around all year with the hitch on the car but if I did, its not like its a huge hitch with a ball on the back or anything.

I have seem a few trans am's pulling trailers before. I have seen them pull pop-up trailers, bike trailers. And I also remember ebay selling a tire trailer that was listed for 4th gen f-bodies. SO you can pull your slicks with you to the track! LOL!!!!!!

I had one on my '93 T/A years ago, & I have one on '01 now.
You can NOT see the thing without the bar in place.
And it works wonders towing the bike trailer down the interstate at 80mph, ..., ya don't even know there's a trailer back there, ...
So don't knock it 'til you've tried it.
This is the style I've used.

It says 'will not fit with twin tailpipes', but it does. You just need an experienced installer to know what they're doing.

I've just recently gone autocrossing at a local lot here. I was amazed at the number of cars that had trailer hitches on them. That included a 98 Z28, 87 formula, miatas, mustangs, porsche 911s and boxters. Some were daily drivers, some were stripped, gutted and worked on race cars, but still road legal. Not everyone has a performance car as a second vehicle. Most of the people there had those cars as their daily, year round driver. So how else would they bring slicks to a track, without driving on them. I personally would never do it, but then I've had a truck as my daily ever since I made my TA into a weekend warrior years ago. Given the money situation, insurance, room to store a second vehicle, etc, they don't have any other choice.

I plan on pulling a single jet ski a few times this summer with my 99 Z28. They don't weigh much and it gets better gas mileage than my truck. The hitch is not suppose to show unless you have the receiver in.
