I'm also hoping that it may be possible to insure under Hagerty. My insurance agent says they will let me for 3,500 miles per year, but that isn't nearly enough. I need more like 5-6,000. I'm going to call them myself and see if I can make a case for more miles and maybe the assumed stats on the vehicle will help with the insurable value too, since regular insurance won't value the car very high in the event of an accident.

01 Trans Am NHRA Anniversary Edition
Hi there, I have one of these but I was wondering how to tell if it is a Formula or Trans Am, Says Trans Am on back and I was told Trans Am from the dealer, papers (all but one) day Trans Am but the dealer ordered me Formula decals, etc. VIN doesn't distinguish, it just lumps them together.
Also, how do you know if it's an A4 or an M6?
I will list this car on your post page when I find this all out, thanks all.

Well, I wrote an email to ASC. Someone was nice enough to respond to me. Here is what he wrote:

Dear David,
According to our records, your S/N 2G2FV22G222157858 is an Orange 2002 WS6 with T-tops and a manual transmission. It was converted by ASC June 4th, 2002 and was our build number 9,572.
The 2002 model year WS6 breakdown is:
12,517 "regular" (non-Collector Edition) WS6s built
10,888 T-Tops
6,622 manual transmissions
596 Orange
With your specific combination (Orange, T-Tops, manual trans), yours was the 283rd out of 336.
We received the regular Trans-Am’s from GM then converted them into WS-6 Trans-Am Firebirds. They received unique wheels, a new hood, special air-box, badges and trim. We then shipped the cars back to GM and they sent them to car dealers.
All the best, sincerely,
Marcus A. Shelley

I've been fishing around to see who can help me out with finding the ASC build number since Ocotober '13. I was going to go through PHS but procrastinated. Luckly ASC responded. Now I can make a nice badge showing ASC # 283 of 336.

- 2000 Formula Blue Green Chameleon;
I bought my mother-in-law's 2000 Formula in May, and stumbled upon the fact that only 47 Formula coupes were made in the color. I can't help but wonder how many are still around. I posted this somewhere else, but think I should've posted in here maybe. I'm still learning the ropes...

I dought it, thats not a super rare combo, more rare the the white/black but not real rare, now if it was a white over camel interior you would be talking a low numbers car

Of the 6779* 2001 WS6 coupes in CompNine's data base (* some are missing as another source indicates there were 7073 produced):
- 3111 had A4, of those:
355 were 10U Artic White
420 had 522/523 Taupe Leather
111 had 672/673 Lt Camel Leather
(not sure which of those is "tan", need to check your RPO codes)
