Looks like this thread has been dead for awhile, but if anyone out there could tell me how many silver hardtop Formula Firebirds were built in 99 specifically and throughout 98-01 run I greatly would appreciate it (M6/A4 numbers don't matter to me).

Johnny B, if you're still around I could use your help!

Trans Am World breakdown by year. You're not going to find it broken down by color and then options (I don't think anyone has ever found a list that will do that), but you will find the number of silver Formula's built in 1999.

Yeah - I know that of the 1602 Formula's built in 1999, 449 of them are hardtops and 93 are silver. But I was thinking Johnny B was using a part of Compnine to be able to combine RPO codes?

Combining the percentages of each, I'd estimate that there were 26 silver HT Formulas built in '99. The only way to know for sure is to scour CompNine's database and filter on those two RPOs. However, as far as I know that is no longer free, so I'm not inclined to go there.

Thanks - do you happen to know if there is a certain 'level' on Compnine that is required to filter by RPO? They show Personal VIN Decoding, Personal VIN Decoding Plus, Business Package, and Premium Business as options...

It appears that the Personal VIN Decoding PLUS includes the "Complete Vehicle Rarity" feature ($15/mo subscription).

https://www.compnine.com/signup.php#

I have not tried this myself, so I don't know for 100% sure.

As far as I know, it's not likely to find it out anymore. The paperwork is there, but there seems to be no real incentive for someone who works there to drop what they are doing to go look for your car and get the number for you. Check out this thread to start your search:

Own a 1998-2002 WS6 and want your ASC INFO??? Step Inside

To supplement TechCam97's reply, that is the ASC#, which reflects the sequence within a given model year, that ASC performed the WS6 conversion on that car. ASC (American Sunroof Corp) is the company that was subcontracted by GM to perform WS6 conversions from 1998 thru 2002. While very similar to SLP who did the SS conversions on the Camaro for Chevy (in addition to WS6s in '96 and '97), ASC did not offer additional performance options like exhaust or lids to be fitted to the Firebirds. For that on a Firebird, you needed to get a Firehawk (which was up-fitted by SLP).

Default 2001 Pontiac Trans Am convertible?

Hello, I'm trying to find out some info on a Mint 2001 Pontiac Trans Am Convertible which in Sunset orange, black convertible roof and black leather interior. It has the WS.6 performance package and ram air on it. It has 7.7K original miles. It has only been driven a couple times each summer.

Manual 6-spd drive train, RWD, 2dr Hatchback (5.7L 8cyl 4A) with Sunset Orange Metallic Exterior. Leather - Monsoon Audio - Polished Wheels Metallic Sunset Orange. Black Interior. Loaded with Leather Seats, Leather Steering Wheel Trim, Leather Shift **** Trim, Cruise Control, Audio Steering Wheel Controls, AM/FM/CD Audio System, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Exterior Mirrors, Traction Control, Rear Spoiler, Polished Alloy Wheels I'm not sure how many were made at one point I thought I recall 280 were made in this color but cant seem to verify this number. or what the value is on it any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Links to this info appear on the first page of this thread (also in my sig below).

Of the 265 2001 WS6 'Verts w/ M6 listed in CompNine's database, only 14 are SOM. Another source reports that a total of 280 WS6 M6 'verts were built in 2001, but that source does not break those down by color. Thus, CompNine's database is missing 15 of these.

229 of the 265 had black leather interior, and 224 of the 265 had a black top. Most of the other features you list are standard equipment on a T/A 'vert, about the only options are ASR (traction control), Hurst shifter, CD changer, and the choice of a CD or cassette head unit.

Post 02 collector edition production number locator

I'm having a tough time finding the production number on my 2002 collectors edition trans am. I used the search feature here and found all bad news that you can't find it any longer if you don't know it. I'm posting to see if things have changed and if there is a website that can help with this. I have the build sheet to the car but I don't understand all the letters and numbers. Would it even be on the build sheet?

I hope for some good news!!

I answered my own question. For search purposes this is what I did:

I called GM at 866-790-5600 and provided them with the VIN etc. They provided me with my production number and also sent me the build sheet to my e-mail!

Excellent customer service.

Default Unicorn '96 Quasar Blue *WS6*

Came across a 1996 Trans Am WS6, 6 speed car in Quasar Blue. Ran it through Compnine and SLP/SVE and it's legit on those databases (#0651) but the compounded file breakdown on the Trans Am World database doesn't show any WS6 cars built in 1996 Quasar Blue.

Any idea if I'm dealing with a Unicorn?
