Arrow Chevy G8!?

So I was going up to the gym and when I got there I noticed a wierd looking white G8 parked. I went up to it thinking it was a new gxp or something but couldn't believe my eyes. The "G8" had chevy bowties on the center of the rims and in the grill. They where like blacked out with tape on them so you couldn't notice unless you were close up. The interior had a G8 dash but said Chevy on it??? Also the car had barcodes all over the place. I don't know if it was a limtied edition or some facotry special car? Either way it was a good find.

I bet chevy is taking that platform, i noticed you live in michigan. bar codes and black tape sounds like a mule to me.

Found this, might be the same car?

I took this late last year, it was a test mule. It had Lumina badges on it.

The car was right hand drive and it looked like it had some hard miles on it.
I also saw this in the same area(I-68, near Hagerstown Md.)

Holden sells this car as a Chevrolet in parts of the world and a Pontiac to us.

It should have been sold here as Chevrolet from the beginning.

Right hand drive is for South African market. NZ is Holden in RHD, UK is Vauxhall in RHD.
All Holden cars, but badged differently. RHD would be South Africa

Its a global chassis.
In china its a Buick Park Avenue:

Other places its either a Lumina or a Caprice:

And then of course its also a Holden/Vauxhall/Opel

no wonder buick sells good in china, it's a good buick.

There was a 2002ish lumina SS running around central florida for a while, sweet car, and if available, I would have bought one. I'll stick with the GTO for a while, until the G8's can be found for 10K off sticker.

I thought the buick was the statesman LWB model with v6, not the Commodore SWB platform?

it could be, I am unsure, but it's better than the buicks that are sold in the states, all FWD and gay looking.

I like the headlights on the Caprice and the Buick better than the G8.
