I am looking to get a g8 GT very soon. I went to a local dealer by my house yesterday and the msrp for a fully loaded one (what I would want) was34,990. I thought these things were just over 30k? What did you guys pay, what was your msrp and what area are you from. List options if possible. I thought I could nab one with the interior package, a sunroof and the 18s for around 32k msrp. I figure I would save about a grand sticking with the 18s cause I would probably put different rims on it anyway.

EDIT- And I have been told that there is no navi because the car was developed in Aussieland and they don't have navigation available. Someone else can comment on the validity of that.

That took a lot of negotiating and I was really surprised. I got it at the dealership here in Columbia, Missouri. Check autotrader to see what the lowest you can find is and call dealerships closer to you to see if they can at least match it, if not beat it. We wended up with a car we wanted for a damn good deal, but it took talking to 10+ car lots to get it.

The screen is mounted to low for US standards to have DVD/Navi. You can order a part from JHP to unlock the DVD/NAVI functionality.

Not to threadjack, but is there a definitive answer on the Nav debate? I was under the impression that there was no DVD/NAVI to "unlock." As far as I've seen, there's no (cheap) way to get nav into the stock screen at all, so it's best to just stick a Nuvi in there. Thanks for any input!

Sounds about right. I had two dealerships offer me at GT w/ premium and sport packages (no sunroof) for $26.6k but that wasn't an out the door price. If I could get one like this: http://www.joemachensgm.com/VehicleDetails/364268433 for $25k out the door, I would jump on it.

I ended up paying 27k last night for a fully loaded GT. I thought the sticker price sounded high but after checking on Pontiac's site that seemed on par. Sticker was 34,990, I feel that I walked out the winner of the deal. Brand new Black G8 GT with the two tone red and black leather.

That is a really good deal. Any chance I could get a copy of the sales agreement for negotiating? That kind of price might make me change my mind about the timing of when I would get the car.

VIM from jhp is like 400 or something around there, don't feel like looking...but yes, you can unlock the capability to use the lcd just like you'd use your tv at home. Long as you have an RCA cable for output you can plug anything in.
Sticker on my car was 33k...paid 33k OTD, fully loaded 09 GT...late september last year.

Sticker on my 09 was around 33,400. I paid 30,000 but that was way back in July before the meltdown.
