Default 3.90 and 4.11 gears are now available for the G8

That's right folks, just got word from my gear supplier that 3.90's and 4.11's are now available
The gears are made by Motive gear.

I'll get them up on our web site asap.

Thanks
Chris

Man those are low gears for a car that has a 4.05 first gear. I put a 3.45 in mine out of a 2010 camaro and 1st gear is just a blink away. I wouldn't want to daily drive that low a gear with todays fuel prices. Slow sedan, when did you break into the 10's.

I was also thinking a lot of gear for a car you can't put big tires on.

Yeah 1st and 2nd go by real quick with the 3.45's!

Went 10's last year, October I think. Got kicked off and had to put a bar in it

A 28" rear tire would work really good with a 3.70, 3.90, or 4.11 diff.

Would that require any modification or would it rub in any way?

We put 4.33 gears in a CTS-V 9" build awhile back and it was great. Sure, 1st gear was useless but it was a blast to drive.

Gears are now on our web site.

Thanks
Chris

Chris, do you also have the install kit for the gears? If so, how much extra?

Motive is still working on install kits. I'm sure I can put one together though. Not sure how much it will be until I round up all the pieces.

Thanks
Chris

Sure, put together a package deal! I'll be one of the first buyers for sure!
