Default G8 Dealership Deals?

Are there any dealerships out there known for giving great deals on the G8's?

Usually happens with Vettes, TBSS's etc

I get GM employee discounts, has anybody been able to do that?

Trying to see what I'd pay out the door before I go to the dealership and they give me a line of crap

I was wondering that also, my dad gets that x-price or whatever through his job. He wanted to wait for some incentives, but I told him the dealer pricing and msrp seems like its pretty close to cost.

But every dealer we go to they try to give the same old story, "well these are new cars and they are high quality and hard to get so we arent offering those programs or discount, heck I cant even get employee price on it"

You know what I mean

You get the SUPPLIER discount. They can no longer give out the Employee discount. My wife's uncle is a GM exec and he kept telling us that when we bought a new GM to let him know and he could give us the Employee pricing discount. He tried to but found they only let him give the supplier pricing now. It sucks because it would have saved us another $1500 on the car.

okay sweet

and lets be honest, I work in the auto industry and get lots of emails and information on sales and sale predictions that doesn't always make the news (more important stuff to talk about)

sales are doing horrible across the board for everyone, so working a deal is becoming easier

If I go to my bank and get a loan for $XX,XXX, and walk into the dealership with it, and say I have $XX,XXX and I want that GT out the door for that price...what should I start low balling at?

because I really don't need the car, but it'd help a family member out if I gave them my current DD

Only up to $1000 though. There are lots of people on the G8 board I'm on that are complaining because they can only use $1000 and several have $2K+ in earnings saved up.

I have like $3900, the dealership I went to played stupid and told me there wasn't a max I could use. It's pretty bad I know more about it than the dealership (or at least know they're giving me a load of crap).
