So far my best is 11.76@116.60 on a 1.74 60 foot. That was a 7.53@93mph in the 1/8th. So far my best 1/8th was 7.42@93 on a 1.64 60 foot. If I can put the two together I should be able to click off an 11.56 as the car sits.
I just ordered a set of 3.91 gears and I'm hoping with the gears and a miracle 1.57 60 foot that I'll click off 11.3@118 which is the current cam only record as far as I know. I still have full interior running on 17" wheels.
Any thoughts/Advice?
Mods:
Full intake
Full exhaust
cam
drag radials

The 11.32 was mine, you're gonna have to step it up a notch (just a little). It's 11.27 now.
Get as much weight as you can out of the car, head to Houston when the DA is -1000', then see where you are. A good DA like that is worth a couple of tenths.
BTW... I ran a ten Friday night!

You housewolf from ls2gto? Can't get any lighter. I'm already down to 3630 race weight on 17" wheels at the track! My problem now is getting consistent 60 foots on the nittos. Once my gears come in I will probably go to Houston if they are still open. Will be a week or two.

Car is 3490 with full interior, 17" wheels at all 4 corners and I weigh 138. 3630 total as it is now.
I'm going to put GTO spares on the car next time with 3.91s and see what happens. I'm looking for 11.4@119.

yes full interior and 17" wheels... why wouldnt it be? WHat have you done for weight reduction? I was serious.. I took out everything from the trunk, including the tank brace, skid plate, and everything uneeded from the back underside of the vehicle. exhaust can be lightened as well as under hood junk. I use to drain the washer fluid also. No sway or strut bar, nothing inside the car, empty glovebox, console ect... I can get into details but I will be here a while lol.. But the interior was stock as were the wheels. If I had gone to a slicks and skinny setup, got 3:91 gears and upgraded from the stock clutch I am sure I could have been in the 11's without a cam

I have done all of that except the sway bar. I've verified the weight on two different scales and they were both the same. The difference is probably from the transmissions. I think the 6 speed is lighter.
I'd be interested what you removed from under the hood.

Hey all,
I have that #1 cam only spot (temporarily at least) at 11.27@123 (Gulfcoastgoat on the gto board).
I've never weighed my car, but here's what I've removed for that run: vbrace, gas tank brace & lower & upper brackets (upper one is spot-welded in place, and is pretty heavy), front crash bar, rear seat, cut-out the metal behind rear seat (seat still bolts in), spare & jack from trunk.
I disconnected the front swaybar at the endlinks (didn't notice a change).
Headers with no cats save some weight, as do the Weldwheels.
I figure the car weighs around 3500-3550 without me (Im 215).
Air temp was in the upper 40s that night. DA was between -1000 -1200
My previous best was 11.67@119, so I gained 4 tenths from the lower temps.

I wonder what I am missing.. It was like late last year I did everything.. I got my cam in febuary or march I think

A 1.57 is exactly what I had on my 11.27 run (275/50/15 MT drs)
With 17" Nittos it's gonna be difficult to do however.
Have you tried locking the converter at the top of 3rd gear? (around 5400 rpm or 93mph with 3.91s). Some say not to do it, but I haven't had any problems so far. It would probably give you 2-3 mph on the trap speed.

I have it lock the converter in 3rd around 5100...somewhere around there. That's with the stock gears. I'll have to figure out the shift points/lockup points with the 3.91s once they go in.
So you had 15s with slicks on the rear? Did you have skinnies on the front? How much does the crash bar weigh? The crash bar and the rear seats are all I haven't taken out. I believe the rear seats are worth 45 if you remove both pieces. How the hell did you trap 123 cam only? What was your whp?
How much et/mph gain did you get from 3.91s? What stall did you have? What was your 1/8th mile ET/MPH?
