First A Big Thanks To Doug and Chris at Eastcoast Supercharging for making us the World's FIRST and ONLY Paxton Novi 2000 GTO. Next a BIG Thanks to Walt for keeping Me in line with the car and spending SO MANY Long Hours at Night on the car!
Well, we went to a track Rental at Atco yesterday and needing our NHRA licenses, we First did our shake down passes on the new set up. With that being done....we got down to business!
Walt took the first run and - effortlessly - ran a 9.84 at 52% throttle only. The speed - 140.76 mph. Next, it was my turn. My first run turned out to be 9.94..again at 52% throttle at a speed of 138.65.
The rest of the day - and 12 runs later - all ran in the 9.8s, again at 52% throttle and at or around 140mph.
All in all it was a great day for the first time out with the new set-up. While most shops and guys struggle with a new set-up to get their numbers..I would have to say - that running at ONLY 52% throttle, in not the best weather at ATCO...AND NO Nitrous or Meth AT ALL on straight race gas...I can tell you...there is SO MUCH MORE left in our set-up and so far our ECS/RocksandRacing set-up is surpassing anything we could have dreamed on paper.
Thanks to all of you who have been supporting us all along. Our goal of being the fastest GTO with an IRS in the country is now CERTAINLY in our grasp! (Currently held by GForce at 9.41)
Although this was done at a rental - WE are not "rental racers" and will be backing up our numbers week in and week out - no excuses..just 9 second timeslips!

So when are you gonna open that BEAST up to say 75%, or even more?? You better be straped in good. Great runs. Let us know about your #'s at higher throttle. Surely ya'll didn't build this thing with only 1/2 throttle in mind?!?!?!? Can't wait to see the #'s.

Something is amiss. Holding 52% throttle, you would never reach a reasonable engine speed for shifting to achieve a sub-ten second pass. Additionally, why would you run at 52% throttle when you could have run at say, 70% throttle and just taken the "fastest GTO with IRS in the country" title?
You might be able to pull this kind of time off at 52% load (they are different), assuming you were maxing out the supercharger, but why (and how would you accurately calculate) this number?
+1. Additionally, what transmission and gears in the rear end?

Perhaps he didn't want to crash it the 1st day out?
Perhaps the suspension needs more work to handle the power?
Who knows, but there can be a dozen reasons why not.
Engine break in, etc. The list could be endless

To verify your claim of max 52% throttle throughout the run. The info you've given us in the thread along with where you shifted (provided in the log) should be more than enough to prove you correct.
I don't doubt your car has the power to run those kind of numbers, but I question its ability to like that at half-throttle. What do you have to hide?

Because me going to NJ to verify your claim is feasible or reasonable.
Now that you've shown that you have the logs but refuse to post them, my job is done: I've created enough doubt about the 52% throttle claim. You should have never expected to be able to post "I went 9.8x at 140 at half throttle!" and not get called on it.
