GI - Detroit Truetrac posi units

We have just recently become an Eaton/Detroit dealer and are looking for some input on what we should carry.
I skimmed through the diff offerings, and noticed that they offer their Truetrac posi unit for the GTO/holden platforms. I know they are not a new unit by any means, but it seems as though people have not been using very many of them. I guess mainly due to the 8.8 swaps?
So the main question is: If we offered these units for direct drop in into the GTO rear, would you be more apt to buy them, or would you rather buy the 8.8 units? We do not want to order any qnty of something just to have it sit on the shelf.
I am trying to get as much info as I can so we can get on the ball and start getting these units out there.
We may also be able to offer these with gear sets as well. And I do not mean just GM stuff. I mean aftermarket gearsets in the 3.91 option/etc.
Please give me some feedback so we can get the ball rolling.
Thanks
John

I'm not sure that these Truetrac units have been marketed all that well. Also, there's almost no information out there on how to install them. If you could provide the units along with decent instructions for installation, I think you could sell a few.
The 8.8 units are very attractive to GTO owners making big power. However, they're pretty pricey.

The install is fairly straight forward. I will see if I can get some sort of info from Eaton/Detroit that comes with their setup maybe.
Although gear setup is best left to a qualified mechanic/technician/installer due to the problems that an improperly setup set of gears could cause.

eaton actually makes 1 different units , 1 is built to harrops specs and sold through them and their dealers here in the US and in AU , the other is the unit you have access to
their first unit had some manufacturing issues , and has been corrected
these have only been out a short time from what i remember(about a year) , the nice thing with the gto diff , it has side adjusters so you can set the bearing and play up fairly easy , unlike the standard diffs you have to use the shims with , but yes its still a good idea to have someone that is good with diffs make the swap
also no LSD additive is needed , you will how ever need the carrier bearings
i was supposed to install 1 for a friend of mine , but he ended up getting a 07 silverado 4wd

I have been selling the GTO specific units at about 2-3 per month lately...so there definately is interest. The stock posi's are starting to get some age and are peg legging all over the country LOL
It is by far the easiest rear I have dealt with to change the posi out, done in the car typically 2-3 hours.

Ok so here we go. Here is the callout.
You will use the adjuster nuts to set the backlash and the contact pattern for the most part by turning them in opposite directions within the differential case. This way, there are no shims and it is fully adjustable.
You will need a few seals and etc, but the stub shafts will pop out of the carrier assembly so you can disassemble and to make it easier to adjust the adjusting nuts. They are parts 13 on the callout.
The removal and install is fairly straight forward but I would not try to do it if you have no experience with rear ends.
We will also be offering better gear ratios over stock along with this package. Ill have pricing soon on it to let you know.
