All I can say is AWSOME
This is a project I dreamed up and have spent the last month working on. Except machining the rotors for the larger hub I did all the work myself. Just finished the install tonite and just got back from test driving it. Even as I was driving around the block miltiple times bedding in the pads I knew I had something special. The brakes had noticably more bite with less pedal pressure. now I have not tried a all out panic stop yet as I want to let the pads fully bed in before I go crazy. But I have way better brakes.
My old 4th gen camaro I want from the small 10.5" rotors and single piston calipers to 13" rotors with 2 piston calipers and it was a huge difference, this is a bigger difference.
Here are a few pics of the new brackets and the install.
Pictured is the new bracket along side the old prototype bracket I first built to to get the posioning of the caliper and spacing right.

New bracket installed on the knuckle. Minor grinding on the knuckle is required, mostly to remove casting flash.

Brakes installed. The Camaro caliper has had the crossover tube and bleeders swapped for proper posistioning of the stagered caliper pistons. The stoce GTO brake line works fine with a little bending of the steel part of the line. I also had to make 3mm spacers to make the wheel clear the caliper.

Here is a breakdown of what this cost to do. If any one else can install 14" brakes with 4 piston calipers for less, let me know.
Used calipers from Ebay (with pads)_________$280
Take off rotors from SLP___________________$50
Machine brake rotor hubs to fit GTO hub______$50
4 ea 14mm caliper mount bolts______________$12
chrome moly steel tubing for spacers_________$30
1/2 steel plate___________________________free
total cost_______________________________$422
Here are pics of the Camaro wheels on the car. I installed Pontiac center caps and I am using a set of lug nuts off a 4th gen Camaro with thread on Stainless caps off a Vette. IMHO they look way better than the crapy push on plastic caps on the GTO wheels or even the thread on plastic caps on Camaros and mony other GMs.

The wheels are 19" V6 wheels off a 2010 Camaro. The rears have been widened to 9" and wear 275/30 series rubber. Center caps were also changed out for Pontiac ones. The Camaro wheels are nearly a direct bolt on needing only the hubs bored out about 2mm to fit. I am not ceritan if the 18" GTO wheels would fit over brakes this big. My wheels were 17s.
