Talking My GTO w/Intros!

Finally.. I think it's been a little more than a month since I ordered these. But got em put on today at V&E Customs. No rubbing anywhere, and whatever wheelhop I had before is pretty much gone. The tires are NITTO's.. The size up front is 245/40/18.. out back.. 275/35/18.

Awesome, those look SO much better. The stock wheels pretty much suck, they would have been bearable had the US gotten the 18" versions from the factory like in Australia.

Nice wheels, but I still don't think chrome rims look right on the black GTO. It seems I may be the only one that thinks that way - but if I switch them ever I'll be going body color or graphite.

They aren't chrome, they are high polished. Chrome would be even more shiny. Graphite wheels would look good depending on the style, but avoid ricer looking wheels since they offer the most choices in that color.

Personally, I'd go with some 18" Intro GT Sports all the way around on a GTO.

One of the surprising things to me is actually the number of compliments I have received on the wheels that come stock. Based on the internet reception I figured nobody would like them. Near half of the people I've shown the car off to have complimented on liking the wheels and tires on it. Don't know if it's different people or just seeing them in person versus in pictures.

9's out back, 8's in the front.

Thanks fro the comments everyone! I came close to going with black or graphite wheels in a 5 spoke.. but I'm partial to chrome, or a polished look.

That car looks sharp! The GTO's have grown on me a little. Have you done anything with the headlights at all? I could just be seening things. I havent seen pics of a GTO that is as clean looking as yours. Beautiful car and nice choice on the rims

I would choose polished aluminum over chrome myself. I live in Michigan and they salt the roads and chrome does not get along with that.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get an offset that will allow this type of lip on a gto? these wheels pictured are 9 inches wide

These are VERY close to the Boyd Coddington Shrike. These can be made for you custom tailored to your tastes. brushed, polished, powdercoated, etc

The 350z above is on a 10" rear with a +22 offset. Something that cant be done on the GTO. The Smoothies pictured above have nearly 3" of lip

Those wheels look sharp! I must be in the minority here because I also really like the looks of the factory wheels too.....

The black GTO's have been my favorites so far. But then I've only seen a red, yellow, and black one in person....the blue one looks good in print.

I would choose polished aluminum over chrome myself. I live in Michigan and they salt the roads and chrome does not get along with that.
My chrome wheels have held up much better in the winter than the polished aluminum wheels I had on my Camaro. One Winter and the finish on them were destroyed. The chrome wheels are wrapping up their sixth Winter and still look almost as good as new.

Is it just me or do they look like the stock ones with a lip on them?? Do they come with those clear rice tail lights from the factory?? They put those clear lenses on the Lightning stock and they look like ***. It's good you can get some 275's on there, is there any room to go wider??
