Default Debating on a switch...

So as a little back ground I've always over turbocharged 4cyl's... I've had an Evo, couple DSM's, and 2 Subaru's. The cars have ranges from stock to 500whp but I'm getting tired if them for some reason. Possibly because in getting older and want something that I can have fun with and still enjoy the ride/power with a clean look...

Always wanted a GTO as I think it is clean, simple car that can have some grunt behind it with minor mod plus who doesn't love the sound of an LS1/LS2!

I've seen a few people switch from little turbo cars to GTO's, Camaro's, CTS-V's and was wondering why they are switching? Lets hear some opinions on this if ya don't mind...

the interior alone would make you switch one of the best things pontiac did was the interior of the goat

Low end torque is almost as much fun as having boost. The 70-90 in 6th gear is damn impressive.

Also, it's a lot easier to work on and alot cheaper to maintain than an Evo, DSM, or Subie.

Sound, american heritage, power vs. $, and sound. Fast is fast I'll give you that, but damn the resonance of a 4cyl, the small size, and price of the initial vehicle is a big downfall for asian vehicles. More than all for me like I stated is heritage, I loved hearing my fathers stories of Chargers and Camaros, Id like to pass on some "mythical" beast car stories one day also.

I had a ~300whp Legacy GT before my GTO. The Subaru was definately quicker, but highway the GTO walks it. Interior is so nice in the GTO, I would say one of the nicest GM has ever made. I've worked at a GM dealer for almost 10 years now, so I had been wanting to get back into a GM for a log time.

I'm not sure who thinks the interior of a GTO is "nice" and a great thing to look at.. Leathers bland and stiff even with constant conitioning, dash is boring, head unit is more boring, doors are boring, all looks cheap..

Nicer than the other GM vehicles of it' year? yeah it's incredible compared to those. Things that attracted me to the car:

Rare
Power
Sound
Cost
History

And yeah, compared to all the GM vehicle besides cadi's I would say the interior is a big selling point.

The interior is nice. It's simple, clean, and well made.
