was cleaning the engine bay of the goat and noticed I was missing a bolt on the strut Mounting plate, looked it aver and saw the stud was broken. I am wondering if this Means I need a new plate or if I could just remove and put in a new bolt and tach bottom with a little weld to hold it in.
If I do need a new plate do I just use a new oem piece or did BC make this piece specially? I didnt get the coils new.
Another question Ive been pondering is if anybody has tried using the BC coilovers in the rear with a spring rate suitable for Drag racing? Would this get rid of a little of the strut rub with wider tires or offset issues?

If the stud on top of coil over is broken BC should replace that coil over in the mean time is trash, it is the whole suspension on that side including the shock absorber, If you lift up the car it should fall out of place when the wheel hangs.

That's the stud for the strut tower brace, not the strut itself. The strut is retained by that large nut in the center of that large washer. Nothing is going to fall apart without this stud. Now front body flex... That's another story.
