Default 05 GTO 1/4 mile times?

I almost leased an 04 GTO at the end of last year for $230 a month for 24 months but I put a big a$$ turbo and bigger injectors in the Duramax instead. What are the 05 A4 & M6 GTO's running in the 1/4 mile stock with the extra 50hp?

I remember someone posted a 12.9 a month or so ago with their new 05. How valid it is, i dunno but it does seem reasonable. I remember someone with an 04 that put down like 360whp was pulling 12.8's or better. (For comparison sake, my 05 dyno'd stock at 342whp)

If you want a real timeslip, you'll make it to a track.

I went to the track last night for the first time with this car. 2005 A4 GTO. BONE stock, 25psi in the stock tires. 4100lbs with driver. 7 runs. VERY consistant 13.7s (5 times) 13.67 (once) 13.8 (once) 60fts, 2.1 (5 times) 2.0 (twice) MPH 100-102. This car was very easy to get down the track ond there was no wheel hop ever. I am very impressed with the performance and the REPEATABILITY of this car. I ran 3 runs within 6 minutes and ran 13.74 (First ever trip), 13.77 and 13.80. Heat soak showed up on the 13.8 run and lost 2 mph in the traps but still cut a 2.0 60ft. the 13.67 came after a 45 min cool off with a 2.0 60ft and backed it up with a hot lap 13.75, 2.1 60ft. There are some low 13s in this car with nothing more than better weather.

Was this an A4 or M6 car? It's interesting that he ran 106mph but grump only ran 102 mph. I wonder if the TM in the automatics is really killing the power?

Don't believe the Pontiac hype. I think Pontiac wanted to sell more A4's so they said they were faster than the M6s. M6s are trapping 104 - 108 mph on average. A4's are trapping in the 102-106 mph range. It all depends on driving skill and track conditons. But on average the M6s are proving to be faster in the 1/4 mile.(if driven at their best)

Which makes sense because the M6s are putting down about 20hp more on the dyno.

Drivetrain losses make the A4's put down less. Since an automatic can shift under power and in an instant, once you eliminate factors like torque managment, pre-programmed shift points and put in a better converter, the automatics are both more consistant and probably will be faster.

I do know this, the 05 M6's also have torque managment routines to pull power when it is being pushed hard, specificly between shifts. I can clearly feel this effect with T/C disabled on a hard shift from 2nd to 3rd, but usualy only when I am laying into it already through 1st.

I have a 05 GTO M6
13.52 @104.4
with a 2.001 "60 ft

i think the bigest reson for the slow time is torgue managment
i used a tech 2 on my car and lose 15 degres for timing and the tb closes to 30% when shifting gears, and only get a max of 21-24 degress of timing at WOT
i think this herts these heavy cars alot
