After over 2 months of shop time, the Goat is back on teh road, equipped with a laundry list of mods to the powerplant, transmission, suspension, brakes, drivetrain, interior, exterior and everything else.
Most mods are in my signature.

Unfortunately, the gauge pod is not available right now. I bought it the end of January of this year, and after 9 months of holding my order, while the gauges were being redesigned, the seller finally just sent me the original prototype. The pod doesn't fit as well as it looks in the picture, there are gaps and it is held in with double sided tape.
The gauges themselves are nice but again, it took me 9 months to get them. As I understand it, there are products similar to this that are available immediately, such as the JHP setup. That is probably the best route at this time.

Your car is hot man. But your hood gap looks a little off. Like the rims and the interior. I like it better with the spoiler though. I wish I had a Goat. Momma won't let me. I guess I'll just have to keep hypein up the TA.
Sexy car Man!!

So how do you like those wheels? Were you the one trying to figure out the whole hubcentric rings with these wheels? I'm looking at the other style of wheels that the same eBay'r offers. Definitely get some ZoopSeal on those wheels so they don't lose their luster!

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments. (BTW, I'm Rhino74 on LS1GTO.com/ LS2GTO.com.) http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50934
Good eye Sid3ways, the hood gap is just a hair off, but after all I've been through I haven't mustered the enrgy to start maeuving it around. Yes, it's lightweight, but it's really a 2 or 3 man job.
The wheels are from Greg, who sells 2 styles in 18" for the GTO on eBay. I am not sponsored by him and actually paid more than they are selling for now. Although I had to go through some effort to get things worked out, my pain is your gain, as he now has everything squared away with regard to the proper hub rings and so forth. I'm trying to spread the word, since I genuinely think these rims, for what you get, are the best bang for the buck out there and Greg is a cool dude.
P.S. I am having the whole car detailed and I already got my power ball and Mother's Power Metal cleaner ready to get those wheels looking better again. Just as soon as I get the final few suspension tweaks done in a week or so, my car will be detailed and photographed again in "final" form.

Hey thanks for the shout out, Jeremy. Right back atcha. On top of having the LS2, which I kind of wished I'd waited for, I see you have the color scheme I orignally wanted as well in the Black/ Red combo, although now that I've had my black/black for a year, I kind of like the fact that it's; 1) understated and 2) as far as I know, not very common.
You gotta ditch that "stock for now" status though. If you sneeze on the LS2 GTOs, they start pushing awesome numbers, more so on the dyno than the track at first, due to all the torque causing traction challenges (especially in M6). Of course, that's, not unlike the LS1s, but even worse with te extra cubes out of the box, I'd imagine.
Get yourself the old intake/exhuast headers combo, which although it will be costly ($2,000+) will have you approaching 400rwhp with a good tune and pushing into the 12s with some good tires. That oughtta put a smile on your mug.

I wouldn't paint the grills anymore than I'd paint the silver trim in your dash. Same color, looks fine. Paint them and they just blend in and dissapear.
The 3.91s are killing me at the pump. With my mods, I'm getting at best about 14mpg going to work and back, barring any disasterous jams. 6th gear gets overworked at above 75, so I'm even driving slower now. If I had to do it over, I dunno...is it worth it?
