Its the Sports Appearance Package (SAP) been out since 04. The tail lights are the new darker style standard on 06's.

Not that many GTO's were fitted with the SAP kit while in dealer stock. Some were, but most were done after the customer took delivery of them. Even so, there aren't alot of SAP equipped GTO's out there.

Also, most dealerships will only sell you the entire SAP kit as a whole which is ~$3000 prior to paint and installation charges. (some colors come pre-painted including black, silver and torid red?) I personaly only have the front piece which I bought for about $300 and had painted and installed for a few hundred dollars more. (I had to have the front stripped and fill the factory license plate bracket holes which are not covered by the SAP kit otherwise.)

as stated, not too many people have it because it adds around 3 grand to the sticker price which is ridiculous...

the whole kit includes the front fascia extension, side skirts, rear bumper, magnaflow mufflers with dual/dual outlets, taller rear spoiler (i don't like it) and the recessed "Autocross" front grilles which MANY GTO owners (myself included have bought to spruce up the front end, despite the fact that even they are $250 by themselves...

why don't you get some holden or HSV body parts? Between purchase, shipping, painting, my VZ monaro bumper cost me $1000.

the only one i'd be interested in personally is the HSV GTO Coupe (aka the Vauxhall Monaro VXR) front bumper and it's SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive...

about a year ago I was at a cross road.... wheels and VZ bumper or HSV coupe kit. The $4,000 for the HSV kit kinda freaked me out, at that time I would have had to swap the headlights for the older rounder style headlight assemblys. That still didn't include the rear deck spoiler.

I've thought about putting on HSV GTO bumper covers but now i'd rather put that money into making horsepower...........

I'm on the fence about em....I think they look good on red and black, not so sure abuot the other colors.

they need to lose the stupid reflector thingy on the outside edge of the red circle though. The HSV taillights don't have it and it looks significantly better.

Nobody runs clear tail lights ???? I didn't even like thoes put on the lightning, but its a way to define one as 2001 or newer L.

People normally put black or blood red tail lights on GTOs. Similar to 06 tail lights.
