Default 05' GTO track numbers?

One of my friends is interested in purchasing an 05' GTO but wants to know how well they do in the 1/4 mile and MPH. Also if someone has dyno numbers or any other additional info about the GTO, please let me know.

Depends on wayyyyyy too many things. But any knucklehead should be able to run an auto to mid 13's or a 6 speed to low 13's on the stock tires, pending traction and practice. Some of the better drivers are pulling 12's out of them stock.

They weigh right around 3670 for the M6's and 3720 for the A4's. Track times are dependent on the driver IMO. Though as said some guys are getting them in the low 13's through high 12's bone stock.

Motor Trend has them at 3765lbs. GM Hightech got one down one down in the 13.2 range.

Their are quite a few heavy parts that can be replaced with lighter weight pieces or even removed all together. With the spare and jack removed, their is well over 100 pounds that can be unbolted from the car without taking anything out of importance.

Are you saying that the spare and jack weigh 100lbs?

Just found out how fast they are. I was on my way home from work and I saw a guy driving a stock LS2 GTO trying a guy with an M3, and he killed that M3. I asked him if I could run him because I wanted to know how fast those GTOs are and we went from a 30MPH roll. After the three beeps I pulled a car on him all the way to his third gear, after that he slowly started pulling on me until he was about 1 1/2 car lengths in front of me and my car is an mostly stock 02' LS1 Camaro SS A4. Fast car.

No, more like 40 or 50 pounds. The spare may be small but it is damn heavy. Their are other random pieces people have discovered have no function and weigh 15-25 pounds each that can be removed. Some people claim their is a function for these parts (well the skidplate still serves a function anyhow) but so many people have removed them with no negative feedback that I doubt it would matter if they were removed.

I ran into one this a.m. I wasn't really to sure if I was going to mess with him. Anyway, we both pulled away from the light rather slowly he was about a fender ahead of me. I heard him get on it and I did too. He pulled away from me like I was standing still. Granted I had my TCS on so that kicked in when I shifted into second but I don't think it would have mattered. He had the jump and was just pulling. I left off at about 80 (it's not worth a ticket to me.) and he was still hauling *** up the road. I was impressed.

I raced a the 6-SPEED. But the older 5.7s are no match for my 02' Camaro SS A4.
