I say you should keep the Firehawk, those cars are frickin awesome. I love my GTO and all but the Firehawk is like a C/E model. Eventhough the GTO's are going to be put out of production also. it just depends on your perogatives (dont know if thats spelled right lol) are, if you plan on having kids then you will have a little more room in the GTO. If I was in your situation I would not know what to do, because I would love both cars too much, jus tto get rid of one of them.

GTO is the more well rounded car for sure. Its much more refined, has a nicer/higher quality interior, and its more comfortable. Plus its got the LS2.
Both are great cars, but personally I'd stick with the GTO

Uh... Firehawk.
I've driven the '04 and '05 and honestly it's a better car for daily use, but I would never trade a Firehawk to get one.

Not kidding. There was an '05 owner talking smack and he only did a low of 14.1 the whole day. Not to be a dick, but honestly those goats run pretty slow at these tracks. And that shifter...

BTW, the shifter in my A4 works just fine.

The shifter is for the M6 cars. An owner was joking about the shifter and told me to try it out. Even with the shifter in gear you can move the stick around 2-3 inches. That's what I was referring to. I've driven both the '04 & '05's. Nice cars...

You may remember the red 05 that almost lost it at the starting line on his third run. He had never made a pass in anything until that day. His first run ever was a 13.43 and his second was also a 13.4x. He packed it up and went home after almost finding the wall on his third run.
You are right, though...a lot of the Goats were hovering around 14 flat on that day. I really don't think those times can be blamed on the car. The GTO is a hard car to launch; and many of the drivers just haven't found the combo yet.

Depends on how it'll be used.
Weekend driver that'll keep the miles low, I'd probably keep the 'Hawk. If you get anymore than about 10k miles on it though, it's not collectable anymore and not worth much more than a regular T/A or WS6. I found this out when I put my 'Hawk on the market.
Daily driver would be the GTO all the way. I get in my T/A after the GTO and it feels cheap and the driving position sucks (the seat doesn't go back far enough). However, the T/A gets more looks and IMHO has a better looking exterior. Although, even if the T/A looks better, the fit/finish/quality of the exterior on the GTO is better.
My advice is not to get in the position that one has to go.

I know this isn't a Firehawk, but I've been driving my wife's 98 T/A 6 speed while I complete the twin turbo for my GTO. There is no comparison to me. The T/A is a nice car but rattles, rough ride, nowhere near as comfortable to me as the GTO. Driving this car again (which I used to think was a nice driving car) has really made me want to finish up the GTO.
