Do you get noticed in your Goat??? Everyone driving GTO's around, do you think you get noticed by the cops as much as with Camaro's and Firebirds?? I hated getting followed everytime a cop saw my camaro. Luckily I had a clean record but its is just a pain in the ***. I really love these cars and am hoping that the subtle looks don't draw too much attention.

I have not had any unwanted attention in the 9 months I have had my GTO. Hell, I even had a highway patrol pull over a stock hyundai that was right next to me on the freeway. We were both doing 80.

I get allot of heading turning too. Cops don't bother as I think my '05 with tint, SSR GT-2's, no wing, and no front plate looks more like an Aston DB or MB CLK than an F-body.
I also have a CCW permit and soon as they run my plate they're off to an easier target.
I do get plenty of thumbs up from Poncho brothern in their GPs and GAs. The best are the ones from Ford pick-ups and 4-cylinder foreign cars.

Only people that know what they're looking at notice me...everyone else just sees another silver Pontiac. That's how I like it...then I can pleasantly surprise them with the sound of my Kooks and Borla.

cops tend not to pay any attention to me at all with this car, but just about every time I stop for gas, I usually get a comment (a positive one 
) from someone else there.
One guy with a nice black WS6 rolled by my house a couple weeks ago when I was swapping my boyd wheels back on in the driveway.
He complimented my car repeatedly.

It must b/c my exhaust is really loud, but people NOTICE ME! 
On my 10 mile trip to school today I had 2 cars pull up next to me and compliment my car...
1 guy yesterday actually followed me into my school to ask me what I had done to it, lol...
Most cops are usually pretty cool around here. They seem to give the "ricers" more trouble...

Almost got arrested racing my dad home from work one saterday
afternoon in my GTO.They were three cops that pulled us over
and he said he was going to suspend our drivers lics.Then
the cop tells he should just give me a ticket because i lost.
My dad drives a magnacharged ss silverado and my car was
stock.Didnt think it helps my car is yellow.

People who don't know the car will rubberneck trying to figure out what it is. People who know the car will often give a nod out of respect. I don't think the po-po has figured out what it is and what folks are doing to wring out every bit of performance they can. It's almost as if the car were invisibe to local law enforcement officials. I definitely do appreciate the stealth qualities of my '05 GTO.

Maybe the Ram lost to the SS with a Maggie.
You know you get respect when a C6 gives you the nod as you roll by on the highway. :-P He then tucks in and follows only to reappear after getting lost in traffic. But this time he is doing 30-40 MPH faster than I am as he emerges from the traffic with a yellow late model Monte Carlo on his tail....of course I am not going to let them catch up. Shift to 4th, then 5th....damn limiter Fortunately he was less than an 1/8 mile behind and wasn't gaining too fast. I slow back to cruise and he rolls on my left when I look over and hear a honking horn and fanantical waves from both seats...priceless.

THAT.... is a PLUS for sure... I can't get past a cop without him staring at me...most are cool, I'm not that loud by any means, it also makes a difference on which area I am in, but with a T/A R/A they all seem to look...Must be nice to be able to cruise by a COP and NOT have him look over at you... ...........

Around here, if you're not obnoxiously loud, a ricer, or doing something stupid (like triple digits), the po-po don't generally give a damn.
As far as non-law-enforcement attention - I don't know yet. Haven't had my Goat long enough!
