Default my '05 GTO A4 dyno #'s

Dyno'd out '05 GTO today... its a bone stock A4 car with just the mufflers removed. It put down 329RWHP and 330 RWTQ. It was very hot out today and the car only has 4,200 miles on it... what do you guys think? We didn't let the car cool down much at all either. I made 2 pulls both with the same #'s. It definitely needs tuned. Its waaaaaay rich above 5,000 rpms.

Thoughts/comments?

*Before taking the mufflers off, the car went 13.27 @ 105 with only nitto DR's on it.

That seems about average for most of the stock 05 dyno numbers.Thats not a bad ET time either.

That's pretty good for an A4. My M6 put down 337rwhp/332rwtq. Your car has less than a 10rwhp disadvantage due to the tranny.

yes, but we have a small 7.5 inch rear end...take into account an IRS...and if im not mistaking, a beefier a4 tranny.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I guess 329/330 with just mufflers removed isn't bad.

Dyno's will vary in there readings considerably. A cool down of the motor would have read higher numbers.

I know it's a different vehicle but my LS2 pulled 326/330 stock, 65* outside Baro 29.xx on that pull, made 15+ pulls while we tuned it with a Wester's Custom ECM tune via Laptop (and Email from Canada) and the end result was 352+HP & 370+TQ, get that thing tuned first, also got rid of the Torque Management, improved line pressure and shift points to 6500, truck pulls like an animal now...ran 13.49 @102 (best MPH was 102.56) with a low 2.0x 60' before the tune (in the cooler weather) I am sure you could get the same results (vid of my SS running 13.52 & .54 are here if anyone cares..) http://www.tunetyme.net/gallery.html mines the Silver 2WD, the white is an AWD...

Yeah, also... it was over 90* the day I dyno'd it and was very humid. I'm sure on a cooler day with tuning it will easily go 350RWHP.

I wouldn't worry about dyno #'s, they mean nothing. They are pretty much just a tool to use for tuning so you can get the most power you can get out of your vehicle IMO. I don't even know what my car dynos at, it would be cool to know but I think track times prove/matter more.

For a 1/4 mile car the A4 is the way to go. For a road course car a M6 would be better IMO. It just depneds on what you want to do with the car and if you really like driving a M6 that much.

No engine light here.

05_GTO... I agree... my GTA's H/C LS1 only put down 399rwhp/380rwtq but ran 11.50's @ 119 in a 3400lb car... realistically it was putting down about 440 to the ground.

How are the A4 GTOs responding with a good stall converter? I would think an LS2 A4 with a few simple mods, tuning, a converter upgrade and drag radials would be a stoplight terror.

I agree... future plans (stage 1) for our car will probably be a good tune, CAI, free mods, 3200-3600 stall, and DR's... I think low 12s would be rather easy. I'm hoping with just a good tune and DR's it will go 12.80's. We'll see

I'm putting down 330RWHP and rated at 400FWHP... right at a 17.5% loss at the wheels. I think that's about right for an auto with a IRS.
