They're pretty close in terms of speed. I know of a couple of guys that have beaten/been beaten by them. The weight is the down fall of the SRT8 and the 300C SRT8 is the one to watch for, it seems to be a little lighter than the Charger. I know that one guys claims 12.6's on a pure stock 300C SRT8, but I find that a little difficult to believe.

I've never raced one, but one does frequent Atco; I hope to line up next to him this year.

I lined up at GLD last year against one. I beat him by about a second...this was me running a crappy 13.0 @ 110. So it depends on the driver.

I was at the track with one last year. It was running right about what the 05/6 GTO's were running. They're a very good match at the track. Too bad those SRT's cost so much more and use so much more gas.

stock vs stock, Brian's SRT Charger was quicker at HRP vs my '06 GTO. Trap speeds were similar, but the GTO had horrible wheelhop compared to the Charger. From a roll, it would probably be a close race. With traction and no wheelhop, it would be a close race.

But, stock vs stock on stock tires, I'd say the SRT is more consistent and a little quicker.

April 16th we'll take some video at or track rental at Norwak. we have about 6 or 7 Charger SRT-8s coming and at least one 300C SRT-8. ...personally I doubt any break into the 12s.

I ran a SRT-8 300C on the highway from about 70 through 145. It was dead even from 70 to 130 but above 130 I started to pull ahead. By the top of 4th (145ish) I was about a car and a half on him but we had to let off. Needless to say, someone not in the right gear would get left behind in a hurry!

I have a C5 so this isn't what you guys are talking about but I sent a Magnum SRT-8 crying to Momma. From a 60 mph roll by 80 mph I backed off I was so far ahead.

I've raced one at the track (last year, before the mods)
he ran about a 13.7, and I raced a magnum srt-8 a couple times,
had no problem to his 13.9

I was running 13.0-13.5 most of the year

Heres a video of my mostly stock 05/A4 GTO versus a Srt8 with catback and CAI.
My GTO has Nitto DR's, Predator Tune, and CAI. It ran 12.7 @ 108+ on this run.

Sorry for the video at the end. It looks like my brother fell down the stairs.

60 to 80 mph? HUH?? He probably wasn't even racing....you can't really judge from a 60 to 80 jump.
