295/305/315 whichever is in your budget. Run that size all 4 corners.
don't know on backspacing. Your cheapest option here imo is to find 4 used 17x11 zr1 wheels, I think 54 or 51mm work fine for us

Dave when you saw my car this summer I had BFG KDW 275/40/17 mounted on speedline 17x9 rims. I am thinking about having two of them widened to 17x11 for the next size up

So for you it's not an option for the 17x11 all around?
I don't think I like the spacer in the front, either.
17x10 should allow for a 305 pretty easy. Haven't seen too much talk about what size tires can fit on the front of our cars.
Maybe Mitchntx knows.

Small spacers are fine, and sometimes not needed. If you get spacers, make sure they are hub-centric. A little more pricey, but safer. On my racecar Corvette for a certain wheel (that I do not race on, practice only, and practice is only going about 7/10) I run a 1/2" spacer. No issues on DOT-R tires.
And yes square means equal on 4 corners, sometimes referring to just tires, other times tires and wheels

17x11 will fit all 4 corners. Firebirds have slightly wider fenders and they fit a tad better better, but 50mm works fine on a camaro.
go onto frrax.com and search under the wheels section and there's a sticky for a "how to fit 17x11s" with lots of info

Thanks. I signed up and now I am activated so much appreciated.
Wow - 17x12 huh. Well I'll look at your 17x11 with 315's and that should be good for anything under 750 rwhp, huh.
Thanks SIK02SS for the recommendation.

You can go wider than 315 on a 11" rim...I forget how much exactly though. When looking at tires, all manufacturers website have specs on their tires and they list rim widths they fit on. I want to say off memory a 335 is max on a 11" rim, but am not 100% certain.
Again with the spacer, be sure it is a hub-centric spacer. Slightly more expensive usually, but worth it's price.
My camaro will be going 18x10.5 on all 4 corners soon with 295 front and 305 rear (only because i already have the tires already..once they're gone I'll go 315x4)
IMO if you're hitting 600+, you're probably going to want more tire in the rear..like 335's. The owner of the shop who does all my tuning (CMS) tracks his 600+ rwhp C6Z and i think said he's going to start using 345 rears with a little taller side wall for the track

Wow now that is exactly what I was looking for!!
SKI02SS I will be sure to use hub centric spacers! Also I am in the low/mid 500's at the tire so I don't think I'll need 335's but who knows.
Great info guys!
