Default hmm, any ideas?

posted on another forum:

98 Cobra (daily driver)
-procharger supercharger w/ intercooler
-4.10 gears
-subframe's
-bassanni x-pipe & cat-back
-Nitto 555's

I cant wait till it gets a little warmer here in missouri and then its time for the track, baby. I just got the Cobra in September so it hasnt seen any track time yet. Do any of you SS guys drag race/autocross? I'd kinda like to know what are some actual quarter mile times from your cars. SS is an awesome car in staight line acceleration but get it into some twisty turns and it doesnt stand a chance. Not trying to start a flame war here the mustang has its advantages and disadvantages but so does the SS. i like mustangs because im more of a autocross guy than the drag strip person. Just my $.02

anyone think differently?

is this a joke? The suspension on Mustangs is FAR inferior to the fbody for the "twisties". 4link just doesn't cut it. TQ arm is the way to fly.

look at FS at the national level.. no mustangs have a chance.. thats a great comparison.

the rear end of a mustang is one bing binding setup. think about it.

to make mustangs turn do to there horrible front end geometry requires a TON of neg camber.

Brian Mattucci(SM mustang) converted his rear setup to TQ arm, and runs about 3.5 degrees of neg camber on the front.. his car is setup NICE. the big advantage (its a LX notch) is its light. 2800lbs. SN95s are portly.

if you are going to make comments like that, you better be able to back them up.. and, seeing as you are WRONG, you can't..

Hmmmm, it would probably take quite a few suspension mods for a mustang to handle with a stock 1LE wouldn't it? <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

oh ****.. i thought you were quoting something that somebody else had posted.. i didnt' realize you were making those statements yourself..

you're all backwards..

let's see here.. in my area, there are 10-15 F-body autocrossers and most of those guys are really really fast... ready for the mustang count? 2, yes two, only 2 ppl run mustangs that i've seen so far... one of them is a Cobra Street Mod, he doesn't really compete w/ the fast Fstock/ESP/StreetMod guys in F-bods..
if mustangs were fast, there would be plenty of ppl using them around here
