There is a dedicated top to the mount...did you try flipping it over? I'll confirm in the morning on my mock-up block.

I'm suspecting it will end up being something associated with his specific brand of mounts and will easily be resolved by trimming the tabs. If it's related to the casting on his block, then we'll all learn something at the same time. This is a great place to share these little idiosyncrasies that future users may run into.

What are you doing here? Shouldn't be be having some green beer?
I miss living in BG. What a fun town. I bet the college bars are full right now with some hotties...

Since you've asked I am having a beer...but not with some green crap in it! I would never disrespect a quality craft brewed beer in such a way...that's what Bud, Coors and Miller Lite is for. Hmmm, college bars are not the place for an old guy like myself to hang out as I'd just look like the "old guy in the club". I prefer to do my beer drinking at home these days, but for those that are out and about tonight...have a great time!

I appreciate you making the effort to help build the data base here; everyone's efforts will benefit other users of these parts for years to come. Are you running A/C?

Strange...I can't verify the orientation of the mount on the block from that photo as it's zoomed in too close, but I can say as long as the tang is positioned towards the front of the engine on the passenger side and towards the rear of the engine on the driver side, you can cut the tangs off and move forward.

I can't say on that one...I did notice that the bend in the tab on his mount is pushed out further away from the base of the mount than mine is...the bend in mine is right up against the base instead of coming forward with a small straight section before bending down like his does.
