Default Mavns WARR Performance 102mm TB Review/write up. + Nic Williams 102 for reference!

Hello LS1Tech Gang! Id Like to do a little write up of the WARR 102mm TB vs the Nic Williams!

Lets get started! First off, Id like to say this is a wonderful piece for the money, and from what I can tell its 1000x better thann most "ebay" throttle bodys you can purchase!

Here is both 102's side by side:

First think youll Notice is how the WARR has a "Fast Big Mouth" Throttle stop design vs the Nic Williams TB with the back mount to stop the Blade.

Heres a side View:

The IAC Hole on the Nic Williams is a little bit bigger to allow more flow, but the WARR still looks like it has plenty of flow right out of the box. You could mod this if needed.

Back View:

Lets Check out hoe nice the Blade seals up on the WARR just like the Nic Williams

Throttle Blade Opening:

The throttle blade at WOT on the WARR does Not seem to open a full 90* like how the Nic Williams does. AGAIN you could mod this aspect if needed. I personally am not going to mod this part.

Lastly:

Lets check the Spring and Throttle stop. I have no complaints here, looks great. spring is nice and tight on both.

Here are some more comparisons for you guys to see and let me know how you liked this write up, I will have my hands on a FAST Big Mouth 102 TB here in the next week.

THANKS

-MAVN

Mavn, when will you be test fitting the IAC/TPS? I believe that is when others have noticed some issues.

Nice write up OP looks like good quality compared to the NW from the pictures. I looked into these when I was purchasing my 92 didn't want to risk having an issue come up. Definitely regretting it.

Just to add to this, if you have any issues with the TB, WARR Performance stands behind their product and will make it right. This is from another thread.

Yes, it does, and other Overseas TBs. What I like about the NW, 3 screws holding on the blade and full 90 degree opening with zero mods. Hope the Warr holds up.

Ive been beating on my black widow 90mm Tb for years
I bought a eBay 90mm for a project. Seems just as good as the one I paid over 250$ for.
Where do you get the WARR Tb?

Maybe it's just the set screw positioning, but looks to me like there is a gap all the way around the throttle blade on the fast vs the other which seems to be better sealed.

This has me almost convinced to go with the Warr 92mm. The budget's blown and I still have a little ways to go.

Thanks for taking the time to post this up OP!
