Default huge 4 inch thick intercooler on 06 gto install

I decided the stock procharger intercooler wasn't cutting it so I upgraded to a new 31x12x4 intercooler. I just wanted to share, there isn't a ton of info on the net. I'm sure I'll get bashed for removing the front impact bar but I custom made brackets and was able to keep ac accumulator and oil cooler lines in tact.

just from the test I ran iat temps dropped down to 82 degrees crusing. 90 under full throttle runs. dropped 40 degrees across the board from stock procharger intercooler. hope the info helps someone down the road

only 7 lbs on p1 but the blower is maxed out. my iats were wayyy to high though. the stock procharger intercooler just wasn't able to keep up . there were days in florida where it was 100 outside and my iats were well over 140. now it never gets much past 100 I just knew once I upgraded to the f1a and threw more boost at it that it would only get worse. next I'm gonna move the bypass valve from cold to.hot side of the piping.

I'm running a p1sc but I also have a built 402 stroker motor, forged crank, rods, pistons, heads, cam, lifters. nothing in the motor is stock and I dynoed 580 on that. I think I just have too much motor for a p1. kinda power you put out?

I'm running 9.5 to 1 compression so I think that's part of the reason I'm making less power but it's safer. and agred on the f1! it's sitting in the box here beside me waiting to go in. I'm just waiting on a fuel pump setup from lonnie.
Bob im.hoping to be close to that cts v you dynoed a while back I believe it was the same setup as mine making around 864 at the wheels on like 12.4 lbs of boost. you wouldn't happen to remember the pulley he ran would you lol
