Default Things to look out for?

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/5729047895.html

Hi all,
New member. Not really to versed in fbodies and was wondering what you guys thought of this car and the mods this guy has done to it. Only planning on driving it maybe 2 to 3 times a week. I have a 92 honda accord as a daily.
Ive heard stories about the Eagle cranks breaking and the guy doesnt know if its cast or forged which is kind of concerning.

Well being a member of the 2 piece Eagle cast crank club I can say mine broke in 2000 miles while diving 30 mph.

The sellers car supposedly has 10k mi on the stroker so that would be somewhat positive. The fact it passes Calif. smog indicates a well tuned/operating engine....unless he had the "friend" smog test using a donor car.

If the seller does not know cast or forged...I would take that as cast. While I would never run a Eagle cast crank again....many do work without breaking. YMMV

Thanks for the reply. He says he got the kit installed and balanced at a machine shop so that eases my worry a bit. Any ideas on what kind of power its putting to the wheels?
