Default On3 78/76 first couple of passes

Didn't even plan on running today, as it was the Ltx shootout. But they ended up doing test and tune after the event was over. I just HAD to see how the car ran with this Chinese turbo. Now, I debated whether or not to mention this, as the risk of being told I'm making excuses but oh well. I discovered as I was done for the day that my cutout was half closed. Anyway, here are the slips.

Best E.T before was 11.44...137mph. Personal best E.T was set today at 11.33....best mph today was 136mph. Really have to gear higher, car just won't trap any higher with what's in it not.

That small difference could be just the track and temps alone maybe?

Nah, temps were cooler than last time I ran. It ran the 136 pass at 18psi, I turned it up....and it slowed down. I'm convinced the cutout closed up after the first pass. Because after that pass, I turned it up....but it slowed down. Track was soso

Was walking this guy down, but he smashed me so bad out the gate...I would have had to race him to the sand pit to catch him.

Yeah that guy had almost a solid second on you, but I bet if you could get you 60ft even in the 1.8 range, you might crack a 10.9 possibly. I'm hoping to get in the 1.8's when I hit the track here soon. I'm hoping the 10 will hold that, since that's no that aggressive of a 60ft

Are you going to run sticky tires? I think the only reasons my 10 bolt Is staying alive is, the street tires acting as a fuse.....and the way turbo cars deliver power as in progressive. Is your nitrous setup as a progressive style, or is it all of it at once?

Actually I run 315 NT05R drag radials, but 2 things I don't do is pull hard launches and avoid wheel hop as much as possible. And so far that's been working out fine knock on wood lol. No my nitrous is all at once, but since I'd never have a chance in hell for traction in 1st gear, I just waite till 2nd before I spray....and even then I usually spin. All of this is probably helping to save the rear though lol

I'm curious can you even roll race on those street tires....say like from a 2nd gear roll without spinning?

It still spins on the street from a second gear roll on, it's not ridiculously bad....probably 30 yards or so. If the road is warm, it USUALLY hooks from a 4th gear roll on. Was wanting to do the roll race event a couple of months ago, but they were doing that on a Friday and I missed it. And yea, that wheel hope is like a nail in the coffin with our 10 bolt lol

You know what might be the perfect compromise tire for you is the Nitto 555R. Have you considered it? Give you a little more traction, but not enough to tear the 10 bolt apart

I think you are right. I should have went with them the first go around. Maybe next season, the season ends in 2 weeks where I live.

I've owned a few sets over the years on a few different cars and to me they are basically just a sticky street tire imo. They actually handle like a decent street tire, get decent amount of miles, do decent in the rain, etc...
