HAHA...

I remember I posted to the forum too... I think the gmls4 forum can't remember... but my post was just like yours without the bleeding... a general post to state my frustration.

It was a bitch to get in and when I finally did it I felt more satisfaction than I did when I graduated high school.

make sure the mount is warm it might make a difference not sure how cold it is where you are installing it.

But if you are not using a vice(as 91 pointed out) you have a better chance of surviving a head first 10 story fall onto concrete.

i freaking gave up for now. Luckily I anticipated something like this so I bought a new OEM one and it is on right now. Will try again the next few days, when my palm heals up a bit.
The vice grip I used made so many marks on the metal which also pissed me off

you can always take it to the shop and have someone press it in

I did not use that one as I thought the same thing would happen installing.Cut it in half, right down the middle with a sawzall after removing the metal insert for the bolt. That's the way the ZZP mount is, 2 pieces.

I believe I had to sand the inside of the metal bracket too because it had some rust... made the surface smoother.

I did not use vice grips though I used only a vice and wd40

I would be using a moly grease over WD40 , couple smacks and it should go in.
