Default Cylinder heads for 408

Sold my prc ls3/l92 heads awhile back and now its time to start gathering parts for my 408 again so anyways what heads would be best suited for me..
Im looking to get the most out of my setup before i go supercharged..
It would be going into a 01 trans am with a th400 or 4l80e still undecided..
This car would probably see the street 2 or 3 days out of the week...
I got 4 options im currently looking at
#1 is mast 245cc heads
#2 would be tf 235cc heads/ or 245cc
#3 prc ls3 260cc heads
#4 afr 1610 heads

Here is a link to the thread when he introduced them:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...ts-235-cc.html

Give Tony a call or send him an email to discuss price because there are a couple of options depending on rocker being used, hand finishing, valves etc.

TFS heads finished by Brian Tooley gets my vote.... you'll come out cheaper than Mamo heads but with great results from either one.

Frankenstein Racing, BTR (Brian Tooley), Mamo, Wegner & Larry Meaux Racing heads would be my suggestion for starting point for cylinder heads for your build.

xdanny510x,

In a 408/4.030 bore, we would recommend our CNC ported TFS 237cc cylinder head setup. If you are going with a 4.030 bore and looking to boost the car our TFS LS3 262cc rectangle port cylinder heads would work great as well.

I'll attach some threads with dyno numbers for reference.

Also, the following thread is the first set of Trickflows Chris ever ported from a porters casting. It was our very first set of 237s, which is what all of our CNC programs are based off of now. You'll notice here, on a moderately cammed LS3 N/A pump gas 91 stroker motor. The car made 603whp 512tq.

As always there are plenty of options for a good cylinder head on the market. These are just a couple of looks at what we can provide for you!
Oh btw, we have these in stock ready to rock as well. If you have any questions at all feel free to fire away! You can catch us on here, through PMs, e-mail, phone and even FaceBook messenger.

99 Black Bird T/A,

Thanks for the shoutout! We have changed our name but yes, that is our old name.

If you're even considering CNC'd stock castings, check out Advanced Induction. They have several different port programs for LS3 heads.
