My first build! 5.3, 2 .68/70s, upgraded cam, springs, rods
I'll be inviting everyone along the journey! I've been doing a lot of reading and research and I'm still learning. I'll be posting pictures and my build cost as it goes. Its not a budget build but not one with unlimited cash flow.
I'm asking for input and suggestions to better my build if you all see something out of place or wrong.
I currently don't have a car for the build, I'm open to a verity of cars/trucks, mainly classics (50s-80s). I'm looking every day. I've reached out to a handful of members already and they have helped a ton!
My build will consist of.......
-2002 5.3
-Cam 212/218, .550"/.550" 112 LSA
-Stock heads w/ Brian Tooley .660 double springs, pushrods
-(2) GT35.68/70 T4. (not true GTs)
-LS1 intake
-Head studs
-2.5" pipping
-80lbs EV1 injectors
-102mm TB
-LS oil pan swap kit
-Billet fuel rails
-TH350 that's built to handle 850hp
The truck is running and driving. Need to get it tuned. There's a local guy that does street tunes for $350. Dyno tune cost minimum $850 here.
Thing's to do: Have a 12 bolt rear end with posi 3.42 gears that needs to be built. Currently has a manual boost controller, need to get an eboost and get rid of that manual. I'm in Dallas, there's a 3500 stall converter, it's been 100 drgrees, I'll probably get a smaller stall. Around 3200.
