Project Hairy Banana (1967 Camaro single turbo)
I picked up a tubbed ladder bar car a month ago.
I looked at it with a buddy, and the plan was he would buy the BBC and 8-71 blower out of it. So those got pulled in first 24 hours:
Plan is:
5.3
Turbo kit by Anthony Manna
A2A
E85
TH400 by Caira Automotive
Holley Dominator
Baker Engineering cam
Tuning support from Jonathan Capizzi
Hope to have motor and trans in by August 10th.

Gotta say I really like the radials for street driving and stability up top. My chassis is a little unstable though.
I honestly can’t tell much of a difference "hook wise" between the 275 VS the 315. Both work great when new. About half way through the life of the tire though they don’t work as well which is a bummer. Slicks seem to last longer. (even with street driving)
They have a new “Pro Bracket Radial” I was wanting to try. Basically a slick with the stability of a radial. Curious about the life I can get out of a pair.

Ah yeah the PBRs, I have a set of those 275/60/15 for the 5th gen but I plan to run a 30 inch tire on ol' Yellow Fever. I figure 30s will make it easier for me to dial the car in plus I don't really fit any classes. If there was a local Ultra class I'd approach it differently. I know they make a 30" PBR.

Planning to get a base tune from him for $ of course, and I'm not going for his records, I won't be as light for one. But I'd like to do well and back his record up.

I mean of course I'd like to beat him but I don't even have the car together so it would be pretty ballsy for me to say I'd try to run a 7.80 (but I'll try hehe).
