Default SP4000 Hub Adapter kits ready to go, available with and without hubs

So it's taken a while but I finally got my adapters finished, got the hardware needed, and a few sets of bearings in to go with them.

$459.99 for the hub adapters only. *you need the SKF Xtracker to make this work as designed, stock hubs are slightly different on the back*.

http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...78&PartID=1494

$1159.00 for a complete kit ready to bolt on, including a new pair of the X-tracker hubs with studs.

http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...=278&ModelID=8

Both kits include the new bolts to hold the hub to the adapter. You re-use the OEM hub bolts to attach the adapter to the steering knuckle/upright.

Adding few shots comparing stock to the new kit we have.

Notice the HUGE difference in bearing location, and how much bigger the Xtracker is. And in the other picture you can see the straightedge showing the same front and rear mounting height as stock, even smacked a few OEM studs in that old hub to make sure it was all the same.

Would be nice if hubs can be shipped with longer ARP bolts installed and or separate if needed.

it can be arranged, but it's not something I want to do all the time. I have better things to do with my time than smack studs out and press some more in. But I can do it when/where requested. There would be an additional charge. The studs aren't free, and it would take some labor to swap them (not much but some).

Questions? Comments? I've tried to take good pictures to show the new stuff and the comparison to the stock F-body hub.

Is there a cheaper non-ABS version of the Xtracker hub?

FWIW, I've had this same setup (adapters from someone else) with XTracker hubs and for 2 seasons of AX on 315s, absolutely 0 play. These are what everyone needs.

Is the xtracker hub a "production" part like off a Vette or something or is it its own aftermarket deal?

BTW, looks real good. If i get my car going in the direction I'm hoping for I'll be looking into getting a set of these for sure.

Let's slow down and make sure we all understand each other.

These are not one-of hubs I am making. I make the adapters and put the hardware together, etc. SKF does produce the hubs, and others sell them too (but my pricing is super competitive). *BUT* they are NOT a standard replacement SKF, which is also made... and you have to run the Xtracker with this adapter to have everything fit correctly. No if's and's or but's.

Yup, got it. Pretty much I was just curious if you were at a race or on a trip etc and god forbid a hub failed there's an ability to order or find an Xtracker hub for such and such application. Did a lil digging at lunch too and see the differences in the SKF offerings nowas well so that clears up a bunch. Sam, as always awesome looking products and very nice pricing. Are your spacers on your site?

They are on the site. Linked in the very first post. Both adapters only, and a complete setup with the hubs.

I have lots of adapters, and one pair of hubs at the moment.

Awesome work Sam! It'll be a while before I need these. Gonna have to give you a ring this year sometime about shocks first.

Thanks flyboy129!

I do have the adapters in stock, ready to ship (and a set of bearings too). One reason I wanted to build these was to have them around when folks needed them, if possible as others were made in small batches.

So, if anyone needs them, they are ready to go.

Bumping. Price is $999.00 for the complete kit with bearings. The adapters alone are $250.00. Lots in stock, ready to ship. Black Zinc Plated w/hardware.

Adapters: http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...=277&ModelID=7
Adapters with SKF X-tracker: http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetai...77&PartID=1493

Comparison of stock F-body hub to SP4000 w/Xtracker below. Even ignoring the internal upgrades, you can see the SKF is larger diameter, and last less leverage acting on it since it is located further outboard. Photo also shows that mounting face is on the same plane as stock. Does not change brake or wheel mounting locations. Use your current wheels and brakes, or upgrade to any that fit a stock F-body.

Bumping this to the top. I have LOTS of the adapters in stock. Price for a total kit is currently $985.00 (down some), and we have the adapters only for $200 a pair now. The cost of the bearings keeps rising, and we cut the price of the adapters down to try and help keep a lid on things for folks. I can tell you that once I am through with this batch of about 20 car sets, I likely will not make more. Just not enough of a market to support my time to do it. So, if this is something you have been thinking about, now might be a great time to pick up at least the adapters.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Sam

If you're going to track an F body regularly buy this setup. This isn't the place to save money. When you break your hub, your wheel assembly will be held on by your caliper bracket. It's great for us that these are available, thanks Sam!

Look, at $150 a pop for Timken or SKF camaro replacements, you will save money over the long run. I'm on my last spare. I always had to bring a spare to the track as a regular replacement part.
This is my next purchase.
