Default Stock CTS Head Unit/CD player

Does anybody know where to purchase a stock 05 CTS Head unit/CD player in good working order? My V got broken into and I want to install a stock unit for how it links to everything and deter the vagrants again...

If no availability on stock, what is the recommendation for aftermarket unit?

Thanks

What is the deal with the "unlocked" and one that "needs programming"?

The radio needs to "handshake" with the PCM and verify vehicle ID to operate.

Unlocked, the radio acquires the ID.

Locked, the radio needs to be TECHII configured.

Plenty of CTS in the parts yards. Bring a battery to test operation. I would imagine most are in working order.

Just did mine. 😎

Forgot my tech2, so I'll flash it tomorrow.
going into my 03 base 3.2L.

Everything was working, but the radio won't communicate with the amp.

still think this would look killer with the unneeded buttons removed and filled in so it could be wrapped.

I think those buttons should be connected to the smokescreen, machine guns, ejection seat, etc. Much more useful and still would look stock!

I agree. When next stateside I want to buy the full panel install kit, and cut a hole for the DIC only, and nix the unnecessary buttons.

For the moment it was an experiment with my free to me 2003 base model model. When I set it up in the V it will be much improved.

I am having the same issue, I put in an aftermarket deck it wont talk to the amp.

My point is if you want a stock unit I have 2 and you can have them both for less than ebay charges.

PM me and I will give you details if you are interested.
