Default Pacesetter off road y pipe?

i just received my y pipe and I noticed a flat spot on the pipe. I don’t know if it comes like that or if someone did that and returned it back. Here are a couple pics let me know if this is normal. Thanks

I am pretty sure it is like that by design for fitment under the chassis.

If I were to guess it's there to hug the chassis as much as possible and clear the trans mount brace.

I can’t remember how my old one was on my old z28, it was around 15 years ago that I installed it. Looked kind of funny to me. That’s why I figure I ask.

This is the first time I've seen this, but if it's a prefabbed y-pipe my guess is they want to put some margin for error there.

I guess it does come like that. I found these images on google and there is the same indentation.

They definitely are supposed to come that way. Mine had a problem where the two pipes fit together near the merge causing small leaks.

Yeah, they come like that. Thats how mine looks. They have it flat for clearance. If your engine mounts are bad it will hit the floor right at that spot.

That is normal but the PS Y pipe is garbage. Look inside the merge section..it will explain why it will be poppy/raspy.
