Make sure you "calibrate" that lokar dipstick. They are notorious for being a quart or two off if you just install out of the box

Measure a stock one and set the lokar to the same extension length when fully seated. Also make sure you KNOW what trans and pan capacity your dealing with ,, there are a handful of different stock TH400 pans.. Each holds +- a quart or two different.

Solid transmission choice. Simpler, cheaper, tougher..... what motor could you ask?

Gonna build a stroker 6.0, probably something like 416 with L92 style heads and solid roller cam with carb setup
