Default WOT or RPM activated cutout - need wiring help

I have an electric cutout on my car - I would like to wire it to work of an RPM or WOT switch (much like those that operate a nitrous kit).

The cutout operates off of a 3 position momentary switch (open, off, close).

Does anyone have an idea of how to wire this up to make it work?

Don't think either RPM or WOT are good choices to determine the opening of a cutout.

If you rig it up to be activated by WOT, it would take a few precious seconds for the motor to open the valve. You probably want the valve open completely before you lay into it.

If RPM is the determining factor, the valve could possibly be in a perpetual transition - not really what you want.

Driver selectable switch is probably best.

I have it selectable right now. I wanted to try something different, kinda like the C6 Z06.

Corvette valve surely has the PCM control the opening. So it use more info to decide when to open it, not just RPM or WOT.

It can be done and I thought about doing this myself a few years ago.

But like already stated, by the time the cut-out opens, that RPM or WOT point has passed.

No, it IS RPM based. Approximately 3500+ is open. You are right that the PCM controlling the cutout; in fact some Corvette people do change the opening point, but when all is said and done, it is pretty simple and RPM based.

I think a sharp guy could use an adjustable shift light device like this to trigger the cut out opening. Just use one of the light triggers to run the relay to open the valve.

I'd activate exhaust cutout. based on intake Manifold pressure.
