350 small block help!!!? hey guys i have a 350 sbc 
and im having problems with my distributor, its literally frying my rotor! it burned holes through 2 already... also when i take off my distributor cap its beat to hell and melted as well... if anyone knows anything about what may cause this please let me know thanks guys...

no, my distributor rod that goes down to the crank and cam... i think the teeth that connect to the cam are stripped... im going to just buy a new distributor and see what happens.... thanks guys!

If you can't explain it post pictures. BTW your distributor doesn't go down to the crank. Not being a smart *** just making sure you know. Also If you are running an msd with no ignition box then I would think it is a HEI style distributor?
