Try tahoe/yukon forum under the old body style section (years 1991 to 1999) I use this forum alot and I think I have seen this question there before. I know you limited on the amount of lift you can use because of those tall valve guides on the vortec heads but I don't recall how much. Post over there or at the chevy fullsize forum. You might also search to see if chevy highperformance did a build on a vortec engine. I think they did and they covered what you could use with uncut valve guides and cut valve guides.

You can get away with the zz4 cam 474/510 with stock 1.5 rockers. You want to be very carefull with anymore valve lift than that......With that said you can bring the heads to the machine shop to have the guide bosses machined down then add 2.00 1.55 valves and pin the studs in place or get screw in studs and plates ask me how I know

Another vote for the comp 503 cam. It works great on stock LT1 heads. Vortec heads are very similar to them.
BTW, you will get more replies if you take the time to properly spell and punctuate correctly.
