Put it in the gen 3 or 4 section you will get more answers. This is the small block/ big block section.

Cam will work fine.

A 370 is a 364 cubic inch 6 liter bored .030 over creating 370 cubes. The stroke is not altered there for it is not a "stroker". The stroker is a old term for the 350 with a 400 crank.

We just call it a 6 liter bored and stroked or just stroked to 402-408 with a 4 inch stroke that is more than the 3.622 factory crank.

I beg to differ on that one zones. That cam is on the large side for a heavy truck like he has. It is more meant for the weight of an F body car, not a 5000 lb truck.

Don't get me wrong, there are cams that are close to that size that are meant for trucks. Its just that they are ground on a different ICL and LSA to make torque while still bringing in good top end horsepower.

Martin@Tick just released a line of truck cams and he has threads about them in the gen III and gen IV sections.

I run a cam very similar to the tsunami cam with a 370 LQ9 and 4.10 gears in a M6 Camaro, and even with all that (in a much lighter car) it still needs to be up in the powerband to perform well. On a heavy truck I would think this cam would be a poor choice

Yup, didn't say it would be perfect, but will work.

You want to get into some cam application pissing match? I didn't feel like going I to that since he clearly couldn't even find the right section to post this topic, so clearly the details of maximum potential of his setup must not matter either. It will work, period. He has enough gear and converter to make it perform and not set any records. I might also point out he thinks a bored over 6 liter is a stroker, again, he clearly doesn't know exactly what he is even looking for to break down all the details of a better and smaller grind that will allot that truck to roll out faster.

And to be honest, that cam will probably keep him from over powering the rear tires in that truck making it more fun red light to red light against other vehicles.

Like I already said, not optimal but he would still enjoy it, and if not, he should do the research that is out there covered over the topic if that engine, in that truck with that grind.

And just to answer your question, compared to a Trex. Lol
