So I just installed a team g single plain and tossed the airgap. My plugs were not consistent. Some lean, some rich. And I plan on a plate kit within the next month. But I was wondering if anyone has run a carb hat/ cold air set up. I was wondering if I would lose any power vs the open element. Due to lack of room, I started with a small 10x2 air filter. When I switched to a 10x3.5, I could swear I lost tourque. Enough to notice in the seat of the pants . I'm thinking that has something to do with air speed? Any thoughts on this? And now I'm considering running a pipe or 2 to some cold air so I can close in the back of my scoop. It rains a lot here I. South Florida, and Its hard keeping it dry and clean. And I figure I would be able to pick up some air speed with some charge piping at the right diameter. Any input or experience with this also would be appreciated . It's a street car.
Thanks
Sean

Interested in hearing some responses from this. My GMPP intake is a mile high plus the 750DP, if I have no air cleaner I can close my hood, barely, but it hits the wired open choke blade. Need to figure out a hood and air cleaner set up that's not just a hole in the hood because like startingstock, mines a street car, and need to be able to to deal with the possibility of rain.
Sean, we talked a little in another thread of yours. You kept your wipers working but did a bunch of trimming to the pass side right? I had your # at one point and meant to text you for some pics, and pick your brain. Any chance you can toss some up? Thanks, another Sean.

Dco 50 = 90*
Hi Sean, yes I have down so on the Ford Pantera 351-C, NOT YOUR METHOD.
I have fit TWO Weber DCOE/DCO Side Draft carburetors using my cast adapter.
The performance was much better than ALL other Holley's ever fitted !
I can supply this item ?

Anyone run an elbow or carb hat on a small block Chevy carb or 4150 throttle body? Just want to hear about experience. My main concern is fabbing it up and I end up choking the motor. But hoping someone has some inside knowledge or personal experience with the subject. Just don't want to waste the money. Would a 4 inch diameter be enough to feed 383ci? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sean, create a triangle bonnet on the top of your 4150 base.
Go to the PicPart, acquire two LT-1 Air Doors, mount them across from each others base.
Connect the TSP, one only.
AS YOU ASK, "yes, done so" AGAIN "ANSWER" GIVEN. (I am anyone)
The MOST FUNNY item is that THIS Air Door will look TOO KOOL.
