Looks like it belongs there. With the throttle body being at that angle is the pedal travel range able to open the throttle plate all the way?

Cut the oem feed and return lines and put an extra elbow in them. Fingers crossed no leaks bc these fittings suck *** to install.

What is the reason behind the disconnects right there?

I had the disconnects and needed a 90° elbow, due to the different location of the fuel rail disconnects on the lt1 and 8.1

I was thinking that but I was also thinking "maybe he is going to be in some racing class that has timed engine pulls or something"

I’ll drag it for ***** and giggles but, still no real plans for this car. Just a fun project. As it is I drag my nitrous sierra and turbo firebird a couple times a year, when I find the time.

Monday progress update: got my positive battery cable wired to the starter, alternator, and to a positive junction block next to my battery (for now just feeding my e fan relay and fan motor). I got a negative cable mounted to the engine and another from the block to the frame. Mounted a $30 eBay fan and wired that all up. I’m just waiting on a bit more wire loom from eBay so I can run my ground trigger wire to the pcm, under the dash. I also, pieced together most of the interior. I’m grabbing some seats locally tomorrow so interior should pretty much wrapped up. I will be making an hvac delete plate for switches or gauges, but aside from that not much else will happen interior wise.

This is more for a suggested idea. I have the front of my camaro off to have it painted and if you look at the bottom under the crash bar there is a radiator there laying down. The air comes from under the car and goes up into it. I bet you could do the same thing with your transmission cooler and make it pretty effective.
the way yours is sitting in there looks like it will get passive air drawn in from the fan but with no shrouding I would think that if it's more restricted going through it vs going around it the air will tend to go around it more.

I like the set up there. Maybe I’ll get crazy down the road and do something similar. For now I have the trans fluid passing through the oem radiator and then to the aux cooler. If anything I’ll put a small fan on it and run it off the “fan 2” trigger wire. Or run a probe ground trigger on it. Also the factory air damn and belly pans were all fucked up when I bought the car so nothing is going back under it. Resisting making this an all out build still. $5600 and counting

If you look on the bright side. You're still under double your initial budget goal. Lol

hahaha still cheap either way. I did add stuff like $500 in paint, and a line lock etc to the build, which weren’t necessary for a swap. I’ll probably be adding a wideband and cutouts as well.

Could you run e85 on those factory fuel lines?

probably can, but there’s no e85 in the Boston area. That’s why I run meth on my firebird.

I had got this camaro from the auction a couple off weeks ago and going through it I realized it was setup for e85, me not knowing much about it I started reading into it and watching a lot of videos on it from different sources. Seems like as long as the tune supports it then it's basically free hp. Kinda odd that a major city like Boston wouldn't have it. Bunch of anti hippies lol

Grabbed some marketplace seats and installed them last night. Also started figuring out my air intake. I’ll be using an slp air lid that I have sitting around from an 01 camaro ss. Just have to wait on a reducer elbow to come in from Amazon, to finish the work.

Good looking seats. Got a solid plan on what all you are putting into the switch plate?
