Default 400 sb in a v6 camaro

i was wondering if anyone know what needs to be changed to put a 400 sb in a 93 - 97 v6 camaro, or would it be easier/cost less to put it in a z28. im trying to get ideas for a project. im going to get the motor soon and have it built before i start on a car. let me know what you think.
thanks,
matt

I don't see how it would make a difference.. How are you gonna bolt the motor up? Aftermarket k-member, motor plate, or what? And I'm guessing you will be using a T-350 or 400 or a Glide right? There should not be a difference in a v6 or a v8 car since you will be doing away with all of the computer & wiring stuff. Just bolt it up and go man!

how much power you plan on making will likely be the deciding factor in wether you go with motor plates or something like a BMR k-member designed to make sbc/bbc motors bolt right in. so, how much power do you think you'll ever make with it?

All you need are mounts for a V8 to bolt up to the crossmember. It's really nothing special that hasn't been done thousands of times. Hell, you can even go with a 632 big block and just use V8 mounts. Hooker and other companies make headers for these swaps. For a tranny, you can go with just about anything under the clear blue sky. I would worry more about what is going to happen to your differential when you juice that torque monster....

No, you either have to motor plate it in or use a BMR 4th gen K member made for a SBC

i wouldn't chance using anything less than front and mid plates if you go with a 632 lol. 10's, not a problem. 8's = plates. (imo) not worth taking a chance.

later,
Dave
