.
They are fine usually. They are just a next generation of carb. There are some upgrades,
but the HP is also a more modern, tweaked piece. CFM is based on what the engine needs.
If it's a little off, you can usually tune it in. I still use HP's, haven't lost enough, if any power, to worry about.
Never heard of them being a use & toss item??

I've had a couple Mighty Demon's in the past and loved them (two seperate cars)! They were super reliable and always ran great. I had one on my '70 but when I went thru the top end I decided to get swayed by other people's opinions and went with a Holley 750 Ultra HP (yes, the $1000 carb but got it for less than half that price). I started the car for the first time yesterday with the Ultra HP and do have to say that I did like the way my Mighty Demon would start compared to the Ultra HP but it's not tuned in yet either. I'm sure it'll be a great carb once dialed in though. One other thing I found out with the Ultra HP is that there are no vacuum lines at all!

Holley HP Built by Pro Systems on my car... It's like McDonalds...I'm lovin' it.
My friend sold me a demon...I sold my demon...friend hates new demon. Just can't get a handle on it, it seems.
I say Order a custom Pro Systems carb.
