Well, made another trip to the track tonight. David (SilverBulletSS) wanted to see what his car is doing now. We had put on the AFR 205 heads a couple of weeks ago and this was his first trip to the track since then. He ran a 7.23 @ 97mph!!! on the 1/8 mile. He was using an old set of "slick" Nitos that I had and was spinning his tires!

My new best was 7.39 @ 91.5 MPH! Need to change my sig again!!!

 

Yall were cookin Great job! The fun part was all of us getting kicked off the track for being to fast....

 

Yeah, that was funny!!! First I get stopped on the return road and told I needed a roll bar! He said I could make one more pass and then park it. That is when I ran my best. Then you go down the track @ 7.4s too and he stops you and said one more pass and then park your car behind the "red one" lol Then........David goes down.......runs 7.39 and told.....you got it......one more time and park it behind the white one! lol Of course David made his "one more time" running the 7.23!!!!! Boy did we have a croud around us! I think we will be selling more performance parts next week!!!

 

Wish I knew you all were going. I would have loved to run in this weather.

Sorry Steven, we didn't know we were going until about 4 this afternoon. I bet you would have ran so fast you would need the roll cage!! You know if you go faster than 6.99 that's what you need!

What exactly is the difference in a roll cage?

I didn't see what David's 60' time was, but I would like to know that too. Mine was 1.589

 

my best 60 ft was a 1.683

Yeah ya need a roll bar for one David lol I need a underdrive pulley and some lcas and a roll bar.

 

damn if i only i had my cam in and a set of stickies, i can absolutely not wait to spray the 150 shot on top of this cam!

 

Sounds like a great evening. So what are the rules for roll bar on 1/8 mile tracks? I think at Commerce you have to run a 11.5 or faster (1/4 mile track) before you need a roll bar.
