Dang very nice time. A buddy of mine had a 04 6-spd GTO with longtubes, highflow cats, and a TB, and only could get a 9.0 with stock tires.

Yeah she eases on down the track pretty good. 8.70's spinning were the best i got out of
her before i put the nittos on. So far with the predator and DR's I haven't had any problems
with 05's or 06's.

Well i would go to steele sunday, but theres a chance of rain, so i dont want to drive down there and then it get rained out.Can you get the same 1/8 mile time at steele, then at baileyton dragstrip. When i went there, my 1/8 mile was worse at steele, i think it might have just been track prep that day maybe.

I've actually never ran the goat at baileyton. I think I could best my steele 1/8th time
there. The track seems to stick a little better. Whats your best at steele?

Well in my corvette, the best i ran in it was a 8.3, and that was at baileyton, but it was running consistent 8.5's when i had it. Only ran it once at steele and ran a 8.5. But it was a auto so it was alrady consistent. But my buddy in his Mach 1 runs consistent 8.6's but at steele his best was a 9.0. When i went there was only like 20 people there if that, so i dont think they really preped the track good. Seems a lot smoother than bailyeton though

Hey Vann, we had a pretty good time at Steele Sunday. I made two passes and kept missing gears, but I did make a pass where I missed 4th and coasted thru the signs at 14.1 @ 88 mph, which might not sound good, but I coasted a LONG way I was pissed...it was a great run until I missed 4th. Anyway, the track is so much better now it's crazy. Josh kept spinning too much with the vette and couldn't get out of the 13's. Maybe less people will go on Sunday from here on out. It sucked waiting an hour to make one pass.

I ride up to Steele every now and then on Friday night if I'm bored, but I think Josh and Vann have got me talked into going on Sundays now. I like it a lot better. We might ride up there again on Sunday if the weather is nice. Be careful messing with the mustangs up there on Sunday...there are lots of cobras and 10, 11, and 12 second mustangs that show up. Definitely not the typical Friday night 14 sec. mustangs

A bunch of the streetstangs.net group went this past Sunday. I may ride up there this Sunday and get some track time. It'd be my first time at the track with this car.

Good deal BJ, thats a good start! Shouldnt be much longer now... Im at the beach right now, but should be heading home friday if I decide to come back, lol. Once I get back, Im going to tie up some loose ends on my car then make it up to the track next weekend or so. Prolly the weekend after next. Also got a couple cars Ive got do some tweaking on so they will be ready to go also
